The 2007 Opus Bursary Awarded to The Colorectal Team, John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford.
The Colorectal Nurses at the John Radcliffe hospital will try to determine whether there are contributory factors involved when a patient goes into “high output” post operatively.
Objective of research:
- To establish which contributory factors increase the incidence of high output.
- To improve our practice for this group of patients
What we hope to achieve from this research:
- An insight into the problems this group of patients experience
- Opportunities to give enhanced information and support
- Improve nursing/medical care as a result of increased knowledge.
The Results will be presented at the WCET Conference 2008.
